The GCSC is a thriving campus network, linking scholars across departments and colleges. The GCSC catalyzes research on the environment, global change, and sustainability. Our small staff works with and supports affiliate faculty and their graduate students.  The Executive Committee guides policies and decisions for the Center, with each representative acting as a liaison between their college and the GCSC.

Brenda B. Bowen Director, GCSC Professor, Geology and Geophysics (801) 585-5326 brenda.bowen@utah.edu Brenda oversees the creation and execution of the GCSC Strategic Plan; develops and oversees the budget; represents the GCSC in outreach, collaborations, committees and initiatives; designs research, training and teaching activities; and supervises and supports the development of staff members.

Laurie Mecham Administrative Program Coordinator (801) 581-6414 laurie.mecham@utah.edu Laurie coordinates GCSC programs including the seminar series, student and faculty grants, and graduate fellowships. She manages the GCSC website and communications, and supports the Center’s Director and Executive Committee.
