In early March 2020, Kerry Case will take the helm to lead sustainability efforts at the University of Utah. The U was successful in recruiting Case from Westminster College, where she has served for 13 years as Director of the Environmental Center, developing and implementing sustainability initiatives at the college.
Ms. Case also served as the Assistant Provost for Integrative Learning at Westminster, a role that dovetails with the GCSC goal of providing and facilitating interdisciplinary training and research.
Sustainability achievements and goals at the U have gained great momentum under the prior leadership of two interim Chief Sustainability Officers, Amy Wildermuth and Keith Diaz Moore. With a new full-time CSO there will be exciting new opportunities for engaging the campus community and furthering our climate commitments and research.
